Energy Law in Austria
Energy law in Austria regulates the generation, distribution and utilisation of energy, in particular electricity and gas. It is based on national legislation such as the Electricity Industry and Organisation Act (Elektrizitätswirtschafts- und -organisationsG), the provincial implementing legislation, the Gas Industry Act (GaswirtschaftsG) and the Renewable Energies Expansion Act (Erneuerbaren-Ausbau-G). The aim of energy law is to ensure a secure, sustainable and competitive energy supply and to promote renewable energies.
What we do: We advise and represent companies on all legal matters related to energy supply. We support permitting procedures for energy facilities (e.g., wind power, photovoltaics), review contracts (e.g., grid connection, supply, or funding agreements), and assist with grant applications. Your renewable energy project is in excellent hands with us.
