Forestry Law in Austria
The Forest Act is the central legal source of forest law. The aim of the Forest Act is to preserve the forest and the forest soil with its productive capacity and to ensure the multifunctional effects of the forest and sustainable forest management. Many projects require other use of an area considered to be forest and therefore require a clearance licence.
What we do: We advise you on all questions of forestry law and represent you in deforestation permit procedures, in proceedings related to forest classification, and in obtaining approvals for forestry-related facilities.
